Its a Boy!

We're having a boy! We're having a son! Rylee will have a little brother! No matter how else I say it, it still excites me!

We followed suit with pinterest and had a pretty rad gender reveal party! With our first little one we found out we were having a girl with the traditional ultrasound appt. I wanted the second time around to feel more personal then a stranger sharing life changing news as she is crushing my bladder with the wand in hopes to get the best first baby photo.

The party was planned. Food was prepped. Drinks were made. Decorations were glue together. And balloons were bought. And the surprise was making me anxious.

The short few moments standing at a big box, I couldn't help but think how this moment will change us. It made my pregnancy feel more real. How, in this moment it will confirm Rylee will be a big sister and we will expand our family from three to four. The look on my husbands face as blue balloons exploded from that box was too sweet. A boy he can teach manly things to. A boy he can teach to be respectful and hard working as he is. His son, who he will teach to love his mama and protect his sister.

And I ponder over my role as a mama to a beautiful baby boy who I have yet to formally meet. A mama to a son I hope to raise to be sweet, yet strong.

Its New

A sweet friend inspired me to blog again. She suggested paper mache hearts for the name. I will forever thank her dearly for helping me pick a blog name that I feel really relates to this crazy life I live.

I've always loved writing. Leaving notes around that housing. Giving cards for every holiday. I find comfort in words. How they can change a moment. How simple letters combined can express our thoughts, share love, and give support.

I made a few new years resolutions I'm trying so hard to see through. I promised to journal to Rylee everyday. Even if its just a sentence. Something written down to remember the day. Hopefully one day I can print this blog into a book she can reread as she gets older. I also hoped to be pregnant with baby number two. Baby two is 15 weeks in the making! We are very excited. Very freaked out. Excited again to grow our family.

So here's to a new blog to keep track of memories as our family begins a new adventure.
